A book launch, organized by the History Department, will be held at the Ideas Lounge on Friday November 29, 2019 from 4-7pm. This event aims to celebrate the publication of three recently published monographs, including one about Canada. These monographs are:
• Jessica Hanser, Mr. Smith Goes to China: Three Scots in the Making of Britain’s Global Empire (Yale University Press)
• Tamara Myers, Youth Squad: Policing Children in the Twentieth Century (McGill-Queen’s University Press)
• Jessica Wang, Mad Dogs and Other New Yorkers: Rabies, Medicine, and Society in an American Metropolis, 1840–1920 (Johns Hopkins University Press)
